A staff member in the Ruth & Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine.
The Technion operates according to the Ministry of Health’s guidelines and therefore, as a precautionary measure, anyone who has been in direct contact with the patient was notified by the Ministry of Health and is required to follow the instructions received. We are in constant contact with the Ministry of Health and will update as necessary.
Special update regarding two verified COVID-19 patients
We would like to inform you of two additional confirmed COVID-19 patient on campus as of 10/08/2020:
• A faculty member in the Henry and Marilyn Taub Faculty of Computer Science
• A staff member in the Construction and Maintenance Division

Special Update – A confirmed Corona patient at the Technion
We would like to inform you of a student who was confirmed as a COVID-19 patient.
The student lives off campus and has entered home isolation.
Here is the student’s tracking information on campus known to us at this time:
21.6.20 from 19: 00 to 21: 00 – The Beit Midrash in the Ohel Aharon synagogue. Anyone who was at the synagogue during the time specified and has reasons to assume that he was within approximately 2 meters (6 feet) of the patient for more than 15 minutes, should contact the synagogue rabbi, Rabbi Elad Dokow, in order to find out whether he or she should entered home isolation.
21.6.20 from 23.00 to 23:30 – Zesty Restaurant – Anyone who was at the restaurant during the time specified and has reasons to assume that he was within approximately 2 meters (6 feet) of the patient for more than 15 minutes, should contact the Technion Students Association’s Covid-19 referent, Ms. Esti Goldman, in order to find out whether he or she should entered home isolation.
22.6.20 from 20:00 to 22: 30 – The Technion Tennis Courts – Anyone who was on the courts during the time specified and has reasons to assume that he was within approximately 2 meters (6 feet) of the patient for more than 15 minutes, should contact the director of the Technion sport center, Yoav Feiler in order to find out whether he or she should entered home isolation.
The Technion operates in accordance with the Ministry of Health’s guidelines and therefore as a precautionary measure, anyone who has been in direct contact with the student will be notified and is instructed to contact the Ministry of Health for further instructions with regards to the required period of home isolation. Special Update
A student who was diagnosed as an asymptomatic COVID-19 patient was transferred earlier this evening to isolation outside the Technion campus.
The student returned from abroad on April 30th and was sent to a state-sponsored hotel for isolation according to regulations. On May 7th the student returned to his dorm apartment on campus with the approval of his HMO.
Earlier this evening, as it became clear that the student had been diagnosed as an asymptomatic COVID-19 patient, he was transferred to a designated hotel for isolation.
The Technion operates in accordance with the Ministry of Health’s guidelines and therefore as a precautionary measure, anyone who has been in direct contact with the student has been notified and instructed to enter isolation immediately. We are in constant contact with the Ministry of Health and will update as necessary.
